11 tracks; 19 tunes; 58 musicians; 5 countries!

Yearbook is a collection of some of the best original tunes composed during the 2018 tune-a-day project. Featuring a whole slew of top-notch musicians, this collection is all about the tunes!

The vinyl version of this project consists of the album’s first disc: 19 tunes presented in various musical styles, from bluegrass to New Orleans to doo-wop to that old 8-bit style you might have heard on an old Nintendo game. The original writing project was an experiment, so when it came time to record, it made sense to also experiment with the presentation of the music, to take some chance and really have some fun with it!

The digital download includes the music contained on the vinyl, plus the “trad versions” contained on the original album’s second disc.

Because the writing is so deeply rooted in the Cape Breton tradition, the second half of this collection features expanded “traditional” versions of all of the sets on the first, presented with fiddle, piano, guitar, and bagpipes, along with 17 tunes that didn’t find their way into the less traditional arrangements.
